The Problem With New LPS

Heyo everyone, Pocky here ^.^
Today I'm going to review the new LPS, which I think are slightly... Strange, I guess ʢ⌐■⍘■ʡ

So, here is a picture of an old Littlest Pet Shop, probably from around 2007-2008 I'm no expert.

Cute, right?
Take a look at a newer version...

o_o REKT. I can spot at least 3 weird points about it-

  • The proportions are strange (ears, legs etc.).
  • The eyes seem to be slightly going off in different directions.
  • It's in a funny position.

Here are my points in depth-

The Proportions
Alright, let the ranting begin. The sizes of the ears, legs and eyes are strange- yes, strange. The ears are too small and too close together, and they are at the very top of the head, giving it a  weird look. The eyes are very big. Littlest Pet Shops' eyes are meant to be big and cute, yes, but these are a little too big. The legs are very skinny (not to mention small) and where the flipping Orange County are the paws?? I think Hasbro needs to redesign the new fox, and a whole heap of other new animals. Ya just rekt it a lil' too far there honeh :T

The Eyes in Weird Directions
It might be just me, but it seems like this little darling here has eyes slightly going off in different directions. If I put it on my shelf at night, I'd just look at it and start shivering. The older fox's eyes are alright, but this one's are a bit weird. They're big, and the eyelashes are huge- like they are going to fly away. I don't particularly like the style, either. Maybe the optics need a little rethink, too.

The Position
Kids (teens too) play with LPS, making them run, jump etc. The fox is in a sitting position, and you can't really walk, skip- let alone run- while sitting. I think it's lost its roleplay element, unless you just wanted to make your fox sit down and maybe have a cuppa joe. I think the model should be standing up, not sitting down. It's fine for perhaps a rabbit to be in such a position, but definitely not a fox.

*Sigh*. Rantings over! I had a good one there. No offence, Hasbro, but could you please bring the old LPS back, or at least improve the design? Gaah, I miss the ol' days. I sounded really old just then 0_0 Oh well, have a good one :)
